Yes! They've taken the wrong message from the public. It's isn't that the public is hungering for great entertainment. People would flock to old Hollywood movies. They crave it. However, no one is interested in these newer films because we all know they are going to be horrible before we go.
I can count the number of movies I've gone to a movie theater for in the last ten years on one hand because of everything you stated.
