Totally agree. At the risk of over generalizing, most of todays popular music has been but through a blender to homogenize it then pressed flat to squeeze out the juice. One size fits all. (And auto tune is a tool of the devil.)

This could apply to many creative businesses. Said in an earlier comment, but giving any control to Silicon Valley was sheer idiocy. To be blunt: users are sheep, corporations love their sheep and their dollars, and worse, don't understand what the problem might be. We are supposed to be thrilled by their brilliance, in their minds. 🤷🏽‍♂️ This will scale, too, as more industries adopt this kind of mushroom headed and transient notion of business or its sustainability.

Oh, and PS - this is not a new 'normal'. It is very much something that was imposed and muscled through against pretty much every sensible creative person's will. Nobody asked the actual artists. It is a new anomaly, and a gross one, at that.

Fantastic assessment-- especially when it comes to presentation and placement.

I wish I would have known years ago what a voice of reason you are. As an aside - I love your ring. What kind of stone is that?
